"Stolen" Nissan Pickup Truck Recovered in the Wash. I've officially lost track of how many riverbed/wash jobs like these we have done this year! This one I think was the worst in terms of location and damage. At least the other ones, like the new Ford Tremor, were still in OK condition and easy to get to. This clunker, was completely destroyed in every sense of the word. Just by looking at it, it looks like it was abandoned here months ago. It came in as a stolen, so maybe the thieves had their fun before leaving it there. The weird part is this was in a real bad spot, as in a normal car would get stuck trying to get here. Even the local light duty tow truck that was first called couldn't access this, which is why we got the job as a rotator call. Alex arrived in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. Big Flipper is now the king of car fishing! The path of least resistance in this case was literally straight up practically 50' to the overpass. Once airborne, the truck was set directly onto our flatbed for transport. Unfortunately for us, not ever vehicle recovery can be new or insured. Something like this definitely will sit and collect dust before the scrap guy picks it up for like $200. But hey, that comes with the territory!
