Faye embarked on a tour supporting her latest album "Underdressed at the Symphony" playing a SOLD OUT show at the iconic Radio City. It's kinda wild that the VIP tickets to be in the pit for this show set me back $282. That takes the cake for the most money I've spent on a single concert (not including festivals). It was rather jarring when I bought the thickets but hell, Faye is amazing and she deserves the support. It's been many years that I've been tracking her career, from playing a small show in the old rough trade in Williamsburg, to festivals, and Brooklyn Steel. I'm pretty sure the last few times I was paying no more than $50 for a ticket. Granted the VIP came with a lanyard (that I forgot to bring to the show), a tote bag, and a lint roller.. But it didn't come with a sound check, Q&A, or group pick with Faye. Despite the price, it was still an amazing show and Faye and the band sounded great. The footage is jittery because I was scared of security near me saying something. He didn't want people using even their phones during the opener Mei Ehara and I thought that it might be the case for Faye. Luckily the show started and tons of people had their phones out and he didn't bother anyone, or me.
