We were told that Gorg Blau i Sa Fosca was one of the most impressive canyon in Southern Europe. However, when we went, Gorg Blau was dry. Locals recommended against doing dry Gorg Blau, but they do recommend doing the Sa Fosca (lower) portion of the canyon as there are water sources flowing into it and would be worthwhile. We cut into Sa Fosca via a series of via ferrata-like fix rope traverse and rappels. The ropes were well maintained by the locals. Sa Fosca is a deep tall slot canyon that is cave-like. Waterproof headlamps are must haves. There are lots of scrambling over rocks features, downclimbs, and over 15 rappels. This is the darkest canyon any of us has ever been in. I'd say the feel is comparable to the Iron Room in Heaps... except with way taller walls and way darker. After the deep slot canyon opens up more, the rocks become green with moss, which makes them slippery. The locals had warned us to take these portion of the canyon slower and traverse more carefully. At the end of the technical section, we started seeing signs for trails and hiked out via the switch back trails. Created with the #GoPro App on my iPhone, with some footage from DJI Action Cam.
