If you like to go wheeling with big tires or on more challenging roads, these bring increased risks for damage to stock axle shafts. To help avoid twisting the splines, breaking or otherwise damaging your axle shafts, it is a good idea to consider upgrading the axle shafts. We recently had Ron Davis from Red Scorpion Fabworks and Offroad do this by installing Yukon Gear and Axle Chromoly Axle Shafts in Teal Ox. These were needed because we were beginning to see some twisting of the stock axle shafts. The new shafts should prove to be more durable due to being approximately 1.5 times stronger than the stock axle shafts.
