We walk along what is left of the former Djursholms Ösby - Svalnäs railway in Danderyd, Sweden. In 1890, the Djursholms line, the part Ösby (now Djursholms Ösby) and Kohagsviken (later Framnäsviken) were inaugurated. The Ösby station was a station on the Stockholm-Rimbo Railway Company's railway. In 1895, the line was extended to Engelbrektsplan (in Stockholm), after the railway was electrified. Before that, they were only allowed to go to Östra station. This part ceased to be operated in 1960. In 1901, the railway was extended to Eddavägen. In 1912, the railway was extended from Eddavägen's station to Svalnäs, but when that part did not become profitable, when a golf course was built instead of the intended buildings, it was closed down in 1934. In 1975/1976, traffic was closed on the remaining part of the Djursholm line (Ösby-Eddavägen).
