In this video, I showcase how to make acoustic panels, which deliver high performance, fire resistance, and style, all while using commonly available materials. Initially, I was considering installing the same low-density thin acoustic foam featured on the walls of many prominent YouTubers. However, I came across a video made by Tech Ingredients, showcasing the poor performance of those panels, and much better performance from thicker, more dense materials, such as mineral wool panels (Rockwool). This provided me with the inspiration to make this video. Panel Features • High-Performance, especially in the low-frequency bands. • Fire resistant • Easy to manufacture • Can be mounted on any surface • Relatively low-cost compared to similar products Timestamps Intro: 0:00 Cutting Rockwool: 1:30 Laminating Rockwool: 2:36 Attaching Backboard: 3:40 Cutting Fabric: 4:12 Upholstery: 4:58 Panel Brackets 6:45 Mounting Panels: 7:50 Angle Grinder Test: 8:35 Audio Playback Test: 9:31 Clap Test: 10:17 Price Breakdown: 10:42 Outro: 14:07 Tech Ingredients: • Anechoic Chamber - DIY Sound Absorption Pa... The panels shown in the video are more affordable than similar panels available on the market.
