The six feature films of Joe Carnahan are crafted with an incredible amount of energy and enthusiasm. Tonally, he ranges from creating vibrant and action packed pieces like 'Smokin' Aces' or 'The A-Team' to more emotionally driven and thematically challenging films like 'The Grey' and 'Narc'. This intriguing contrast throughout his filmography is exactly what I wanted to capture, analyze and unify within this installment of 'The Works'. This is also a bit of a special edit for me, because Joe himself played a substantial role in getting me an editing position at a professional film & television marketing house in Los Angeles and for that I'm endlessly thankful. Since I'm both a fan of his work and wanted to show my gratitude, I decided to dedicate a 'Works' to his career so far. I hope you all enjoy it!
