Heather Lake - Hiking in Washington

This hike was up to Heather Lake, a mountain lake near Mount Pilchuck in the Cascades of Washington. The beauty of this hike, combined with the ease of access from Mountain Loop Highway, make this a very popular hike. I started hiking in the afternoon due to heavy cloud cover in the morning, but if you got going early enough you could knock out this hike plus another one in the area, like Lake 22 or Robe Canyon Trail. The trail is well maintained, even for how busy it is, and only one blow down which was easy to navigate around. The lake is lovely. I highly recommend going to the other side if the snow and weather allow, as it gets you away from the majority of other hikers. Being early spring there is so much water runoff on the sheer mountain faces it makes for a surreal, relaxing experience. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video.
