Disclaimer: The topics here were written mostly in good fun, but with a sincere heart, while also fully aware of the fact that T. Meyer is a very blessed individual. Do you sometimes experience various types of guilt associated with purchasing large quantities of books? Are your reading habits and tendencies conducive to your overall wellness? How do you assess balance in your life? Do you often wonder with an elusive element of regret if you will ever ‘get to’ a certain novel? Have you ever purchased a brand new copy of a book that you had just finished reading? Would you prefer browsing shelves at a cozy and welcoming book store rather than start grading your growing pile of written responses from grade 9 students concerning their reactions towards whether or not a reader is meant to view Mary Maloney as a sympathetic character in Lamb to the Slaughter? I’m Travis and I have a book buying problem…I want to acknowledging the fact that this doesn’t make me unique, and I know most of y’all could IDENTIFY, but for me it has become clear that I could do well to incorporate more time for physical activity and fresh air into my life. As a former athlete, I’ve regrettably become sedentary. I consider it a small victory if I can hold off another visit to the book/thrift store(s) for another few days and do some much needed marking instead. I’ve reached that crucial point in time that indicates an unlikelihood in the amount of books I own ever getting cracked open. I currently am waiting for 4 different packages in the mail that contain books. When I browse at the stores, I helplessly purchase Infinite Jest each time it’s there. Plus, the minor financial and spatial annoyances. It’s not like these things are keeping me up at night, but it’s interesting to think about and reflect on. I elaborate more on my channel. Word is @wastemailinglist has started talking about books on YouTube. This was terrific news to hear today. I’ll likely watch him rather than go for that jog around the block I was hoping to accomplish tonight, maybe some stretches and V-sets, a few planks perhaps, little stretching…, we’ll see how it goes. Catch ya later on down the trail…
