There are many unfortunate issues that come with suffering from asthma. Along with restricted breathing and the risk of attacks, asthmatics are prone to wheezing and coughing and often have difficulty taking part in sport or physical exercise. Another all too common complaint among asthmatics is the fact that they can become tired more easily. Buteyko Clinic founder Patrick McKeown explains some of the physiological reasons why this occurs. Asthma, an issue of the lower airways can often contribute to issues in the upper airways such as sleep apnea. People with asthma often have an increased rate of breathing which can lead to things like a stuffy nose. People with stuffy or blocked noses are 2-3 times more likely to suffer with sleep issues and as a result, tiredness. To really improve asthma and reduce tiredness, asthmatics are advised to practice breathing exercises for about an hour a day (3 x 20 minutes) to achieve best results. A former asthmatic himself, it was through practicing the Buteyko Breathing Method functional breathing techniques that Patrick was able to bring his own asthma under control. Not only was Patrick able to reduce medications and vastly improve his quality of life but it was also how he began his own journey to become a breathing therapist, who in the past 20 years has helped thousands of people to improve their breathing and health. 🔗 CONNECT WITH Patrick McKeown (Buteyko Clinic International) 💻 Website - https://buteykoclinic.com/ 📹 YouTube Channel - Buteyko Clinic International - YouTube 📸 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/buteykoclin... 📱Facebook - / buteykoclinic 💼 LinkedIn - / buteyko-clinic-international Buteyko Clinic International on YouTube.
