Watch the upper trapezius dry needling twitch as I treat a patient with upper back, neck, and shoulder pain. You can see the upper trapezius muscle twitch when I needle the affected trigger point, this is called an LTR (Local Twitch Response.) It's a unique sign of a trigger point and is a common physiological response to dry needling a trigger point. LTR isn't the response every time and sometimes you may feel simply a dull and achy type of sensation. Wondering if you have an upper trapezius trigger point?
