Kathua: 3 Suspected Drug Peddlers Open Fire on Police, Injured in Crash During Chase

Panic spread in the Keerian Gandayal outpost area under the Lakhanpur police station limits when police, during a routine checkpoint, signalled a motorcycle coming from Punjab towards Jammu and Kashmir to stop.The three youths riding the bike opened fire on the police party and tried to escape. Police immediately chased them, and during the pursuit, their bike crashed near the Keerian Ghariyal bridge. All three accused were seriously injured in the accident.All of them were shifted to GMC Kathua where condition of one of them is said to be critical.
