Not easy when you find this computer without the screen, so I make my solution Join the community on Discord: / discord 00:00 Introduction 01:38 Quick computer tour 03:47 Disassembly 07:26 The mother board 09:03 A power supply 11:45 A suitable screen 14:17 Explanations 16:20 Pseudo CGA 19:14 Standard CGA 21:14 Analog RGB on a TV 25:41 Pictures #1512 #amstrad The tool used is from Jim Leonar and is able to use 16 colors with CGA. Description : ============= Since I made the MP2 and the MP2+ for Amstrad CPC, I was asked if it was possible to make an Amstrad PC-1512 solution. I said it was possible but not as easy as with Amstrad CPC. I was looking for a PC-1215 for a quite a long time et I ended up finding one at reasonable price. It's quite complete with 2 floppy drives, the keyboard and the mouse but without any screen. The original screen was Black & White. It was the good time for me to begin the creation of this device. Today we setup a temporary power solution et test a circuit assembly on a breadboard with all the disadvantages of this solution. I have to admit I am pride of the result even if the picture quality is poor using CGA or scart. This comes from the assembly quality, the used components and from the noise due to missing decoupling caps. The PCB version you can see at the end of the video should work a lot better. See you back in around 1 month on this. Good viewing.
