Do visit our Facebook page at / therecipeagent Here is my mum’s RECIPE (use standard measuring spoon/cup) Ingredients Part 1 1 medium chicken, cut into desired pieces 300 g onions 120 g blended dried chilli (or 6 heapful tablespoons) 5 candlenuts (buah keras) 4 cloves garlic 3 big lemon grass (serai) 1 inch ginger 1 tablespoon grounded mustard seeds 1 heapful tablespoon chili powder ½ teaspoon turmeric powder (kunyit) or ½ inch fresh turmeric METHOD Blend onions, garlic, lemongrass, ginger and candlenut Combine with blended dried chilli, grounded mustard seeds, turmeric powder and chilli powder, mix well into a thick spice paste, set aside Ingredients Part 2 1 ½ inch ginger, peeled and sliced thinly 1 big onion, peeled and cut into 4 2 fresh red chilli, sliced into 2 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce (optional, for a darker curry colour) 3 potatoes, peeled and cut into four 1 ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste ¼ teaspoon msg (optional) 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 cup oil METHOD As per visual Best served with salted eggs/salted fish and Pepper Terung (Eggplant/Brinjal)
