Reed Plays Chromey!

I had the rare opportunity to play "Chromey" Neil Peart's drums from 1974-1976. These drums were used by him on the "Fly By Night, Caress of Steel, 2112 & All the Worlds A Stage albums." And as a tribute, I would not play anything on it but the drum parts from those four albums. Back in my younger days I used to imagine what it would be like to play a fast single stroke roll down those concert-toms like I heard Neil do on those earlier albums. And let me say that now that I've done it. it felt better than I could have imagined. But I must also mention that this kit was hard for me to play. I haven't played a double-bass drum kit in over 20 years. with everything spread out like it was. I was struggling to get out some of those licks. And the fact that I haven't even listened to those albums in so long. It was hard to remember all that stuff. But I didn't care. I was having the ultimate Rush drumming experience!
