Let’s play: StarFight game series - pinnacle of Suomi DOS games [ENG/FIN]

StarFight is long running game series of freeware/public-domain scifi adventure/action games (not to be confused with StarFlight). Prime examples of classic Finnish freeware and shareware games “suomipelit” from 90s and 2000s. Games combined point and click adventure gaming with 2d space shooter gameplay, with strong empahasis to cinematic SciFi-story with 3d rendered Full Motion Video cut-scenes Influenced by current scifi titles like Wing Commander 3, Mission Critical, Star Trek and Elite. StarFight: Beginning of the End was the first ever released StarFight title. It was a rather poor attempt of creating a cinematic multi-genre game. There were only one very short 3rd person perspective adventure section, and five action levels. All events on the levels were hard-coded, and even though enemies, gameplay and hazards were different in every level, the game was very short. Quality of graphics and sound were’t great either.
