On May 13th, 2025, deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in Orlando after spotting a blue Infiniti with illegal window tint and a covered license plate. The driver, 22-year-old Danny Cruz Jr., admitted he was armed, leading deputies to recover a loaded Glock 19X from his waistband. After detecting the odor of marijuana, deputies searched the vehicle and discovered loose cannabis, a THC vape pen, and an unmarked AR-style pistol with no serial number — commonly referred to as a ghost gun.
