Bellver Castle, Palma, Majorca, Spain, is worth a visit. I went there by rented car, but took a walk down and up the 446 stairs; halfway down the hill 3 km to the west of the center of Palma. It is quite hot, 30-35 degr. C, so it is a slow walk (speed the stairwalk up, if you like). Enjoy. The castle is a Gothic-style castle built in the 14th century for King James II of Majorca. One of the few circular castles in Europe. Nice stairs, too Location: Carrer Camilo José Cela, s/n, 07014 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain. Entrance fee 4 EUR is a bargain. But remember, it is closed on Mondays. Check opening hours just to be on the safe side.
