I spent more than a year shopping for Lithium Batteries, vetting all of the options between salvaging a Nissan Leaf, buying used battery cells, buying new cells on Alibaba, and buying plug and play USA assembled batteries with a warranty. In the end I wanted local support, a strong warranty, and a reliable company for the peace of mind. I went with Lion Energy over Battle Born because the Lion Energy's are smaller, lighter, and they perfectly fit into the footprint I had created for them, and with a slightly higher capacity too. They have a lifetime warranty (up to 3500 charge cycles) so I am literally guaranteed that they are going to work and last a long long time. 3500 cycles comes out to almost 10 years of constant use. Now I will fully admit that in this same footprint you could build your own battery bank out of the same brand new cells that are in this battery shipped to you straight from the manufacturer in China and at the time of writing you could probably build double the capacity and still have spent less money.
