#cybersecurity In this video we break down the recent cyberespionage campaign revealed by The Hacker News, where the Russia-linked threat group APT28 targeted organizations across Western and Central Europe with a novel malware tactic. Between September 2025 and January 2026, the group ran what’s being called Operation MacroMaze, delivering malicious Microsoft Office documents via spear-phishing emails. These files used webhook-based macro malware to quietly establish access and exfiltrate data through common services, making detection harder.
