As a pediatric OT I'm well aware that many kids with and without diagnoses struggle with regulating their emotions. As a mom, it's painfully in front of me everyday, as I know one of my chief jobs in raising a resilient child is to teach the skill of emotional regulation because it often doesn't come naturally. Our kids give us clues though like me son when he said, "Something is wrong with me." As difficult as it is to write, the truth is it would've been easy to brush off, we often do that to kids.
