#RoadTrip #LovesTravelStop The FIRST LEG of this cross-country road trip takes me from Virginia up to SE Wisconsin where I was born and raised. I am taking a lower west-northwesterly and scenic route out of Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, and then into Wisconsin where I will visit family and friends. Since departing (again), I drove more than 600 miles today! I zipped through Virginia as I had already covered what I wanted to see there before the “Check Engine” light on the Durango prompted me to turn around; took my time going through West Virginia admiring the beautiful lush-green mountains; and I was in Ohio now where I went through a heavy downpour in a late-evening thunderstorm. It was awe-inspiring replete with thunder and lightning. I thought the GoPro mounted on my windshield was recording all of it, but it wasn’t; the MicroSD card was corrupted and I could not recover any footage I shot the ENTIRE day from it. No worries, I purchased another one and there will be MANY opportunities for great footage. I am overnighting at a Loves in Dayton Ohio. Loves are popular with the truckers. Here, I can fuel up, get something to eat, rest, and shower. Much cheaper than hotels! Check out my sleeping quarters. It’s a little cramped and ‘raggedly’ but it works! With the seats folded forward, I have enough room to lay down my foam mattress. So far, I am enjoying the Road Trip! The best is yet to come … I promise. And, you know what? I am so happy and feel contentment. I am glad I decided to do this. Tomorrow morning after cleaning up and having breakfast, I am going to check out the massive National Museum of the Air Force here in Dayton.
