A brief gameplay round of the modern version of Vermin on hard mode from Game & Watch Gallery 2 for the Nintendo Game Boy Color. In Vermin, the player must protect the area from oncoming pests. The player is armed with two mallets and can hit enemies on either side with said hammers. In the modern version, Yoshi must protect a group of eggs from swarms of Koopas, Shy Guys and Boos. The modern version features a 360 degree area of gameplay which has Yoshi defending enemies from the front, back and sides. Each egg has three hits, and the game ends when any one egg is completely destroyed, giving the player a change to prioritize which eggs need to be protected. Reaching specific point totals will repair all damaged eggs a bit.
