But in a pinch, you could have to do it yourself. A&P Kyle Fosso and part owner of Aircraft Remanufacturing Co walks us through the steps of how to accomplish your own pre-buy inspection. We’ll use a 1953 Cessna 170B with STOL kit owned by Larry Larrabure from the YouTube channel ‪@motoadveBackcountry182‬. While it's technically a post-purchase inspection, Kyle also assesses Larry's job at doing his own pre-buy. In part 1 we do the exterior inspection and in part 2, we'll pull the plane in the hangar and pull some panels to look a bit deeper.
