First Ride: Mutt Motorcycles Stravaig 400 4K I visited Mutt Motorcycles HQ in Birmingham, UK to take a look at their new adventure bike. Mutt are better known for their 125 and 250cc retro scrambler style bikes and this is a first foray into the Adventure market. (See my other video form their stand at EICMA 2022 for the full range) This video is my first ride on the new Mutt Motorcycles Stravaig 400 Adventure bike. It's a 401cc parallel twin that makes around 36hp, with an 81cm seat height and weighs 215kg. It comes with tubeless wheels, a TPMS system, adjustable screen, LED lights, USD forks, 12V and USB socket, and ABS on the twin disc at the front and single disc to the rear. It is very reasonably priced at just under £5000 (as of September 2024). The luggage is extra, 2x28L side cases and a 40L top case for an additional £375 for those that need it. It was a short ride but I did get to try it on city streets, country lanes and even a 70mph dual carriageway, which covers most things other than off-road. Please note that this is a pre-production prototype, the final production versions will be coming in a couple of weeks. They will essentially be the same but with a proper coated finish on the body parts (they are painted on this bike), black levers and a TFT dash.
