We spend a lovely weekend with our good friends with our kids all together as neighbours in the reconstructed part of the viking town of Haithabu - today in northern Germany. I filmed a bit out of the museum opening hours and added some footage from my archives to tell a little viking story of how it could have looked back in the day for a family travelling to Haithabu. We did not walk all the way from Ribe to Haithabu with our wooden wagon or sail - we drove by car and with trailer on the highway - but for the sake of storytelling it makes sense.
