It is currently being operated with 11139/11140 train numbers on six days a week basis. The 11139/Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Gadag Junction Express has average speed of 50 km/hr and covers 753 km in 15h. The 11140/Gadag Junction - Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Express has average speed of 49 km/hr and covers 753 km in 15h 30min. The train has standard ICF-CBC rakes with max speed of 110 kmph. The train consist of 12 coaches : 1 First AC and AC II Tier 1 AC II Tier 1 AC III Tier 4 Sleeper Coaches 3 General Unreserved 2 Seating cum Luggage Rake The important halts of the train are: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Dadar Central Kalyan Junction Karjat Junction Lonavala Pune Junction Kurduvadi Junction Solapur Bijapur Bagalkot Junction Gadag Junction Gadag Junction (station code: GDG) is a "B" Category ISO 14001 2015 (Environmental Management System)-certified station on (10.02.2020) under South Western Railway in Gadag district, Karnataka. It serves Gadag-Betageri. The station consists of 3 platforms. The station lies on Guntakal–Vasco da Gama section and as well as it connects Gadag–Hotgi railway line.The Gadag–Hotgi railway line was converted from metre gauge to broad gauge in December 2008. Amenities at Gadag railway station include: computerized reservation office, waiting room, retiring room, free Wi-Fi facility, vegetarian and non-vegetarian refreshments, and book stall. In August 2017, Ministry of Railways had sanctioned 56 km of rail line between Gadag Junction and Yalvigi. In the year 2013–14, Ministry of Railways had sanctioned 252 km of rail line between Gadag Junction and Wadi Junction. Gadag–Hotgi rail doubling is sanctioned in the year 2014–15 Doubling for part length of this project, i.e. from Hotgi–Kudgi (134 km) is taken up under Customer Funding Model. For this purpose NTPC have deposited Rs.946 cr. with Railway. New crossing station @ Kudgi with 4 lines for giving connectivity to NTPC was commissioned on 29.01.2017. Work is in progress in the section between Minchinal–Lachyan (42.5 km) is targeted for commissioning during 2017–18. Gadag–Hotgi section is also sanctioned for electrification and tenders are floated for the same. Gadag Junction will be complete double electric line station as Hospet–Vasco Da Gama rail line getting doubled & electrified in phases. Hospet–Hubli–Londa–Vasco-da-Gama DL (352.58 km) sanctioned in the year 2010–11. This project is being executed by RVNL. So far 67 km. has been commissioned. Further 36 km is targeted for commissioning in 2017–18. Hospet–Tinai Ghat rail electrification tender is floated. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (officially Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) (station code: CSTM (mainline)/ST (suburban)), also known by its former name Victoria Terminus (station code: BBVT/VT), is a historic terminal train station and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The terminus was designed by British born architectural engineer Frederick William Stevens, in an exuberant Italian Gothic style. Its construction began in 1878, in a location south of the old Bori Bunder railway station, and was completed in 1887, the year marking 50 years of Queen Victoria's rule, the building being named, Victoria Terminus. In March 1996 the station's name was changed to "Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus" (with station code CST). Both former initials "VT" and the current, "CST", are also commonly used. The terminus is the headquarters of India's Central Railway. It is one of the busiest railway stations in India, serving as a terminal for both long-distance- and suburban trains. CSMT has a total of 18 platforms—seven platforms are for suburban EMU trains and eleven platforms (Platform 8 to Platform 18) are for long-distance trains. Rajdhani, Duronto, Garib Rath and Tejas Express leave from Platform No. 18. Air-conditioned dormitories were inaugurated at CST on 16 April 2013. The station has been the location of filming the "Jai Ho" song in Slumdog Millionaire and the 2011 Indian film Ra.One.
