RANKING THE ALBUMS: TILES

Here I rank all of the studio albums from Michigan based prog rock band TILES, from bottom to top... The top two and bottom two albums were the easiest to place, whereas the middle two proved difficult... I became a fan of the band with their debut (done independently, and later picked up by various labels), and album full of hook laden prog, so it holds a very special place... "Pretending 2 Run" is a well crafted double concept album that become quite infectious after several spins... Both equal in quality, but for very different reasons... As with all my rankings, which ARE just preferences, those I reach for most when wanting to hear a particular artist in my collection, I take my three favorite songs from each album (and two from an E.P.) and put them on rotation for a straight week... I then make my picks...
