Testdriving a true "cable car" in San Francisco: the new C 350 e is the latest addition to the Mercedes-Benz plug-in hybrid family. Its 60 kW electric engine allows for up to 30 kilometers of silent running, or it may be combined with the 4-cylinder gas engine (known from all current Mercedes cars with a "250" rear badge) for a whopping 600 Nm of torque and 279 horsepower! That's the theory... but how would it fare under scrutiny from our friends Fabian Mechtel and Bjoern Habegger? And why did they bring a 190 E 2.5-16 DTM race car to Treasure Island?
