4 Years - Looking Back at it All - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

4 years ago my life was forever changed by one split second. A crazy fall down a set of stairs left me with the most painful condition known to mankind…Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Several other diagnoses have followed during these 4 years since that day. Myself, and my family, have most certainly been through hell and back a few times over. But although this disease is crippling in so many ways, I have to recognize all of the blessings that have come from it too. Some of my best friends are other CRPS warriors. This community is beyond amazing in how you are truly never alone. There is always someone there that truly understands. I have learned that life is short. Take that leap of faith. Put yourself out there. I wouldn’t want to look back and have any regrets! CRPS has taken so much from me, including a leg, but it will never take my heart, my soul, or my strength. Many emotions come with this anniversary each year. Grief over what life looked like before that split second accident. However, this was God’s chosen path for me. He chose me for a reason, and I will never stop searching for how He wants to work through me. The last 4 years has been full of SO many things it makes my head spin. Now time to discover what year 5 will hold.
