Footage comes courtesy Hidden Palace:   / 2679069188   The story behind this is Activision was fielding pitches from various developers for what would become the 2000 Spider-Man game. Ultimately Neversoft would be picked as developer for the game, but this was the prototype New Level created to try and get the license. New Level also was developing a Beavis and Butthead game, Beavis and Butthead Do Hollywood- which was canceled. A prototype for that game was recently unearthed and sent to Game Rave, this seems to be part of the whole excitement! It was known for a while via some former New Level developers that they had created a Spider-Man prototype in 1998 and we finally have a look at it! It's from July 27th, 1998.
