WOW this video was so fun to make! It's been a minute since I have poured my heart and soul into a video and this was truly what I needed to fill my cup up :) I hope this video can do the same for you. Being a beekeeper this time of year is not easy. We all feel burnt out as we look back on the season and see where we could have done better or what we should have done differently. But that is all a part of the process. Being a beekeeper is more than just looking after bees. It is something that challenges us to our core as it asks us to step up and grow as a human first before we start seeing successes in our bee yard. If you are a new beekeeper watching this..I always like to say, in your first years of beekeeping expect to lose your bees. And the reason I say this is..I think we can be very hard on ourselves and expect for us to have it all figured out the moment we get our first beehive. But, the reason we all started beekeeping is because we wanted a challenge. That means being patient with yourself and staying calm as you make mistakes and learn from them is the best way to grow and improve your beekeeping skills. Mistakes are your best friend, they are the best teacher one could have.
