The IDOLS were a three piece power trio from Ithaca, N.Y. The IDOLS consisted of Brothers Joad (Drums) and Dan Coleman (Bass) with Mick Hoffman (guitar) their shows were high energy. This performance was recorded live on Punk Out a local t.v. show hosted by Rod Ice. They had only been a band for just a few months when it was recorded. The introduction is from when the live music portion was re-aired with it being added. The IDOLS music was influenced by music from the sixties, seventies as well as the current punk rock scene. They played covers that span rock from The Kinks,The Who, and The Ramones to Elvis Costello, Tom Petty and The Talking Heads. But The IDOLS wrote their own songs too. If fact audiences preferred and often requested their original material over the covers they performed. This was a performance from a local t.v. show called Punk Out the often featured live acts.
