The life & Legacy of the Chabad-Lubavitch Rebbetzin, Shterna Sarah Schneersohn (1860-1942). Around 1909, Rebbetzin Shterna Sarah founded a Chasidic "Ladies' Association" (Damen Farayn) focusing on fundraising for the Lubavitch Yeshivas. This organisation was likely the first formal Chasidic women's association, and helped lay the groundwork for future initiatives in Chabad. #Rebbetzin #Chabad #Lubavitch #Hasidic ------------------------------------ Scholarly Sources: • Loewenthal, N.
