This is a closer look to the thermal energy storage system we install at PepsiCo with Eneco. This project electrifies a factory in the food industry, reducing 98% of the carbon emissions in Scope 1. It takes renewable electricity at times when the prices are low and stores the energy as heat in the thermal storage at high temperatures. When needed, it supplies the process. This way, you can reduce the costs for electrification significantly, in the Netherlands and Germany at least 30%, in other parts in the world like Finnland and Spain even 50% and more.
