In past videos I had said that the MG4 was the best LMG in BF4 but some comments told to try the M249 as it was very similar to the MG4. After unlocking the M249 through the single player campaign in BF4, I played some obliteration and conquest on operation locker to unlock all the available attachments through getting kills. Upon doing so, I decided then to compare the M249 to the MG4 since both weapons were so similar to each other in BF4. The stats of both LMG are almost identical, the M249 has slightly less vertical recoil and kicks more to the left horizontally. The MG4 on the other hand, has a higher kick to the right horizontally and only a little more vertical recoil that the M249. Since the M249 and MG4 are so similar to each other in BF4, it's difficult to say which LMG is better. Personally I have found that the MG4 is the better than the M249 in BF4 but that's just what I've found and that may change further down the road. The attachments that I recommend using for the M249 and MG4 in BF4. My BF4 MG4 setup: -Reflex RDS -Laser Sight -Angled Grip or Stubby Grip -Heavy Barrel or Standard Barrel My BF4 M249 setup: -Reflex RDS (Sometimes the US Holo but generally the RDS) -Laser Sight or 2x Scope (Lower vertical recoil makes the 2x easier to use) -Stubby Grip or Angled Grip -Heavy Barrel
