RESERVE BANK OF INDIA Human Resource Management Department, Guwahati Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati (hereafter called as the Bank) invites applications for Two (02) posts (01- Scheduled Tribe (ST) & 01- Unreserved (UR) category) of part time pharmacist with fixed hourly remuneration for a maximum period of 240 days at Bank’s dispensaries located at RBI Main Office Premises, Reserve Bank of India, Station Road, Panbazar, Guwahati, Assam - 781001 and at Reserve Bank of India Officer’s Colony, G.S. Road, Christian Basti, Opposite- Central Mall, Guwahati – 781005. (ii) Eligible candidates may apply as per the format given in Annex-I only. Application in a sealed cover along with photocopies of certificates of Professional/Academic/Other qualifications, caste certificate, experience certificate, age proof etc. should reach at the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Human Resource Management Department (Recruitment Section), Station Road, Panbazar, Guwahati – 781001 on or before 05:00 PM of March 09, 2026. The sealed cover should be super-scribed as ‘Application for the post of Pharmacist on contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration’. Applicant should possess minimum qualification of Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized University registered under Pharmacy Act 1948. iii. Applicant having Bachelor degree (B. Pharm) in Pharmacy can also apply for this post. b) Experience: i. Applicant should be registered with State Pharmacy Council. ii. Minimum experience of two (02) years as a pharmacist. Experience with PSB’s/PSU’s/Government organization will be given preference. iii. Applicant should have basic working knowledge of computer. Remuneration, duty hours and other conditions: i. Pharmacist will be paid a fixed remuneration at the rate of Rs. 400/- per hour with a maximum period of five (05) hours per day, not exceeding maximum of thirty (30) hours in a week and will not be entitled to any pay, allowance or any other perks/facilities. ii. The services rendered by the Pharmacist shall not confer on him/her any right for a temporary or permanent post in the Bank’s service. iii. The Pharmacist shall not be a regular employee of the Bank and shall not be entitled to any facilities admissible to regular employees of the Bank. iv. The offer of engagement will be for a maximum period of 240 days at a stretch and purely on contractual basis. v. The Bank reserves the right to allocate any dispensary, at its discretion, located within the jurisdiction of Guwahati. The Pharmacist may be attached to any one or more of the Bank’s dispensary, as per the requirement of the Bank. The decision in this regard shall be final and the Bank will not entertain any correspondence in this regard.
