Walton Village and Walton Hall, Sunday 27th April 2025

In this walk, we start off in the stunningly beautiful hamlet of Walton (Walton d'Eivile) in the heart of Warwickshire, located just under 2 miles from Wellesbourne, and walk to Walton Hall where we take a look around the Walton Hall estate and grounds. We take in local landmarks around Walton village and also take a look at the Parish Church of St James, Walton d'Eivile, which is situated in the grounds of Walton Hall. I point out alternative routes so you can adapt your own walk to your personal needs and provide a little historical information about the area. Walton Hall is a 16th-century country mansion, once owned by Lord Field and the entertainer Danny La Rue, but now run as a hotel and spa - part of the Sunday Hotels group. Walton Hall is a Grade II listed building and has much to offer visitors to the area; adventure golf, bowling, a heritage café and fabulous dog-friendly grounds.
