Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” launched a musical revolution with Seattle as its epicenter in the early 1990s. With bands to follow like Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and The Presidents of the USA, over 100 million records were sold by bands that all lived within a few square miles of each other. But where did these bands get their start? Where did they hang out when they weren’t lighting up the stage? Well, Scott was an insider in the Seattle music scene, having been in a band with the brother and two sisters of Chris Cornell from Soundgarden. He and Ailsa take a trip to all the old stomping grounds like the club formerly known as “The Offramp” where most of the big names got their start. This video also includes a sit down interview at “El Corazon” with Dave Dederer (formerly of The Presidents of the USA) where Dave talks about what it was like to be a multi-platinum band on the rise and where he recommends you should go if you come to the Emerald City. This Seattle travel video from a visit in 2022 includes stops at the Fremont Troll, El Corazon Seattle, the Seattle Great Wheel, Jimi Hendrix Memorial, Easy Street Records and includes part of an interview with Dave Dederer of The Presidents of the USA.
