Intrepid 4x5" Review - Large Format for a Small Budget

In today's episode, Jules and I review the latest edition (September 2022) of the Intrepid 4x5" Black Edition camera which comes with 3D printed parts instead of the wooden front and rear standards. Intrepid updated the features across all their camera models, so 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10. Intrepid listened carefully to community feedback and now offer a wide variety of features across all their camera models (so 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10) which we will discuss in detail in a minute.  In order to do justice to this new 4x5" camera, we wanted to produce some proper shots with it for this review and arranged appointments with various special locations. For the first shot, we went out to Linfhof’s famous headquarters based in Munich. We found it fitting to tie the new Intrepid to the old tradition of the Linhof Technika.  For the second shoot, we went to the Deutsche Museum, a popular science museum that had recently been renovated. We explored the motor and aviation halls as well as the space exhibition.  For the third shoot, we went to the Boilerman Bar, an American Whiskey Bar that is part of Munich's 25hours hotel and comes with a particularly cozy and moody atmosphere. They were kind enough to let us shoot there and treated us with a drink.  The final shoot took place at the library at Munich’s city hall which is famous for its traditional look and old wood shelves. Please note that you cannot simply go there and take a picture but actually have to make an appointment in advance and get lucky if you are allowed to take a shot.
