950 hp, 730 ft-lbs of torque, & 8000 rpm night after night, demands one overbuilt Sprint car. We built this one from the ground up with huge help from folks all over the industry. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum raffles one every year to raise money, and they're worth the best of the best. Follow along while our team drops the engine into a Race-Ready EMI Chassis. Thanks to the sprint car folks around Speedway Motors, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and all the vendors who donated parts. The car was raffled on 12/18/2020 and won by David S. of Litiz, Pennsylvania. Congrats Dave! Jason Martin installs a cut Winters Driveshaft and U-Joint to receive the engine. Before the team hoists the engine up and drops it in, they removed the nozzle lines to prevent damage during installation. Jason then drops the engine, inserts dowel pins, and turns the power steering pump spud to align with the cam spud, and it falls right in. Motor plate bushings go in to let the car flex and prevent binding up. Nozzle lines go back on. Open headers go on and make everyone smile. Water temp gauges go on and Jason demonstrates how to coil the lines to keep things clean. The throttle linkage hooks up, a double pass radiator drops in, and on go the intake manifold stacks and filter. Perfection. The team fires her up and everyone smiles about open headers on a 410 Sprint Car.
