About TAKIBISM ⽇本の職⼈が作る、焚き火を楽しむためのこだわりの道具。 焚き火をライフワークとし、UPIアドバイザーも務める寒川一氏と、鉄作家の槙塚鉄工所 槇塚登氏が、自分たちが必要なアイテムを作ろうとしたのがきっかけで生まれたTAKIBISM（タキビズム）。2人の頭文字をとった、TAKIBI+S（寒川）+M（槇塚）＝TAKIBISMは、2019年から火吹き棒の”ブレス トゥ ファイヤー”や”フライパンディッシュ”など一連の商品を世に送り出し、販売開始直後から大きな反響を呼びました。 現在は鉄製品以外についても、技術をもったパートナー企業とのコラボレーションを進めています。 ブランドロゴの図形は、エチオピアで出土した約175万年前の「人類最古のハンドアックス」と呼ばれる石器をモチーフにしており、イノベーションや長い時間をかけて培われた技術を大切にしたいとう想いが込められています。 ■商品詳細 https://upioutdoor.com/brands/takibism/ ■UPI公式HP https://upioutdoor.com/ About TAKIBISM A series of discerning tools made by Japanese craftsmen for enjoying fire. TAKIBISM was born when Hajime Sangawa, an advisor to UPI who has made making fire his lifework, and Noboru Makizuka, an iron worker, tried to create the exact tools they needed. TAKIBISM took the acronym of two people and their shared passion, TAKIBI (fire) + S (Sangawa) + M (Makizuka) = TAKIBISM. The first series of products was launched in 2019 starting with Breath to Fire, a fire blow pipe, and the Frying Pan Dish. Those products received a great deal of attention in Japan immediately at the start of sales and continuing to today. The shape of the current brand logo is based on a stone tool known as the oldest handaxe of mankind that was excavated in Ethiopia about 1.75 million years ago. By using this symbol, we want to show our admiration and appreciation for innovation and technology cultivated over long periods of time. Currently, we are collaborating with partner companies that have technology for producing products other than iron.
