James E. Baish, 67, of Carlisle, passed to eternal life on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at home with loving family by his side. He was born on October 9, 1956, in Carlisle and is a son of Nancy M. (Goodyear) Baish of Carlisle and the late R. Robert Baish. Jim graduated from Big Spring High School in 1974 and earned a bachelor’s degree from York College of Pennsylvania. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. Jim worked in hospitality most of his life. He formerly worked with his father at Baish Body Shop, he was the owner of Tiffany’s Treats at the M. J. Mall and along with his father was the owner of Tiffany’s Fireside Inn, all of Carlisle. Jim retired after more than 25 years of service as Vice President of Operations at Neema Hospitality Management in Mechanicsburg. Jim was a member of many social organizations including, the Elks, Eagles, AmVets, The Carlisle Club, the Moose, the VFW, all of Carlisle and the Newville American Legion and the William Penn Club in Harrisburg. Jim enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, spending time with his family and friends, and taking care of his home and gardens. In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by one daughter Tiffany Baish-Grace (husband Andrew) of Carlisle, one granddaughter Brinley Barnhart John (husband Dalton) John of New Cumberland, one great-granddaughter Estella John, one sister Jane B. (husband Steve) Ewing of Carlisle, one brother, Richard G. (wife Amy Smith) Baish of Carlisle, one niece Carrie J. (husband Michael) Fearer, one nephew Colton R. Ewing and many cousins and friends Jim was preceded in death by Randall D. “Randy” Runkle and one grandson Brayden J. Bonsall. https://www.since1853.com/obituary/james-b...
