The Rubicon Trail in Lake Tahoe from DL Bliss State Park

In this video, I'll be hiking the Rubicon Trail from DL Bliss State Park to Emerald Bay State Park in Lake Tahoe. The Rubicon Trail is one of the most scenic hikes in South Lake Tahoe. The trail from DL Bliss State Park to Emerald Bay (or vice versa) is 4.6-miles and is rated as moderate. The trail hugs the shoreline the entire time and features stunning vistas and numerous turquoise coves. Once you make it to Emerald Bay, and if you have the energy, you can hike to Lower Eagle Falls, explore the Vikingsholm Castle, or rent a kayak or paddleboard and paddle out to Fannette Island (between Memorial Day and Labor Day).
