Nonetheless, Eddie Howe’s side are seeking back-to-back away league wins for the first time since February. Only Newcastle and Liverpool have yet to drop a point from winning positions this season. The Magpies have won each of the last 10 Premier League matches in which they have taken the lead. Newcastle have conceded a league-high 69% of their goals – nine of 13 – in the opening half of games this season. No side has scored fewer than their four first-half goals. Howe is winless in six away league fixtures against Crystal Palace since a 2-1 victory for his Bournemouth team in February 2016.
