Come to volunteer at the homeless shelter with me 🩷

When I’m not reading ancient history … 🤗 It’s super easy to get involved with your local homeless shelter and we always need more volunteers to help during the week! Since I work for myself I have the flexibility that allows me to work the Wednesday morning shifts. I’d highly encourage anyone who has the means to give some of their time to causes that impact the community to do so. It’s wonderfully rewarding and a great way to stay in touch with the people who live alongside you 💗 “Shelter England” and “Crisis” are great websites to find shelters looking for volunteers. Along with that, if you have a community centre or town hall that has a bulletin board (whether physical or online), volunteering opportunities are always posted there, too. Lastly, religious centres are fabulous for giving back to the community, with most of them (if not all of them) advertising charitable ways for more privileged members of the community to extend a helping hand to those in need. Though I’ve been volunteering consistently for just under a year, shelters are always happy to accept anyone coming in for the odd shift or two. Any and all help is HUGELY appreciated!!
