SACP and its support for Venezuela's Maduro: Alex Mashilo

The SACP, ANC, COSATU, NEHAWU and other civil rights groups have called on the U.S stop interfering in internal affairs of Venezuela. The ANC and its alliance partners staged a picket outside the United States Consulate in Johannesburg. The demonstrators demanded the US government to stop what they called the regime change agenda. This comes after the USA with the support of many European countries, recognise self-declared opposition leader Juan Gauido as Venezuela's interim president.
