Nerves were bad at night but I pushed through and at least made it to Antigua. I was suffering from anxiety previous to the trip for a while so maybe that contributed as I felt completely safe and comfortable walking around Guatemala by myself. Not sure what was going on but turns out I would come down with an illness while in Antigua and that also might explain why I felt off. Stay tuned for that! I highly recommend Guatemala especially Antigua for any ladies wanting to try solo travel as it seems to be made for that and everyone is super friendly and helpful just keep in mind that hardly no one speaks English at all in Guatemala even at the hotels... I stayed in Selena hostel in Antigua and they spoke English there so there is that. I highly recommend Selena hostel for the atmosphere and to meet other solo travellers especially female solo travellers as there were quite a few! I met amazing people and amazing locals and I can't wait to return to Guatemala to finish what I started....Stay tuned for part 2 of my Guatemala travels :)
