Sammying is the process where the moisture content of wet blue is reduced. Ideally, the moisture content at the wet blue pilling is around 60 %. Sammying reduces the water content in the wet blue to 25% which is needed for the next processes. The Sammying machines have sponges that absorb the water from the wet blue in addition the rollers squeeze out the excess water from the wet blue.
