Map Switch: Taming your 2-Stroke power?

If you ride a 2-stroke Dirt Bike, you are familiar with the power band kicking in. The sudden burst of power may feel intimidating and can result in loss of traction or even a crash. Several models of dirt bikes (KTM, GasGas, etc) have a map switch wire under the seat which allow the rider to install a map switch on their handle bars. We use a Tusk map switch on both of our bikes! The map switch allows the rider to easily change from Map 1 (aggressive) to Map 2 (mellow) to control how the power is delivered. This simple modification can be installed at home and is a game changer, especially for Women or beginners.
